When bringing your computer in for repairs:
Desktop
PC Bring only the tower, the operating system/ recovery CD, and any
application or game software to reinstall. Please do not bring the
power cord, keyboard, mouse, printer, or speakers unless these items
are in need of repairs also.
Laptop Bring the AC power adapter, the operating system/ recovery CD, and any application or game software to reinstall.
If you use passwords for login, email, encrypted files, etc., please have them available.
Back up your important data. Sometimes data is accidentally lost during maintenance or repair.
To
protect your privacy, I will not access any data or information that is
not necessary to repair the computer. I will not knowingly remove or
change any data or passwords, but sometimes Windows alters data during
maintenance.
Consider whether a new system might be cheaper than the cost of repairs. Please call or email me for a repair estimate.
Sometimes
it is necessary for me to work at your location, for example, when
setting up a wireless network or when an internet connection problem
occurs. In most other cases, in-shop repairs are recommended. I would
be happy to help you make the right choice for your unique
situation.
